This wonderfully carved Teak Horse & Rider is from  the Kutch tribal area of Gujarat

Carrying handles allowed these chests to be stored in outhouses when not in use

We have halted the aging process in our workshops

The pole hangers (saodoshi) are concealed and not covered by a metal plate showing this as an earlier piece

This finely carved kang table originates from Shanxi province in Northern China and dates from the mid 19th century

Mongolian Side Cabinet - Early 19th Century Seating This wonderfully carved Teak HorseThis exceptional two drawer Mongolian cabinet is an original piece that dates from the early 19th century. The painting and heavy brass fittings are all original. The outline of a brass locking plate can be clearly seen in the center of the cabinet, this would have been secured with a padlock. The front of the cabinet is decorated with painted household objects such as a go board, vases, books, scrolls, an incense burner, and a running dog pattern.
